Job summary

Ascom is seeking a Project Manager (R&D) to lead complex, high‑impact development programs within a global R&D setup. You will own end‑to‑end delivery, ensure quality and regulatory compliance, and mentor colleagues while advancing both products and people.

You will drive project management practices, reduce risk, and promote continuous improvement across the product portfolio in a collaborative, international environment.

Qualifications

• Degree in engineering (BSc/MSc) or related field.
• 5+ years as a Project Manager or engineering team leader.
• Experience in product development including electronics, mechanics and embedded software.
• Experience managing cross‑functional projects in global environments.
• PM certification (e.g. PMP) is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Lead and coordinate cross‑functional R&D projects across global teams (R&D, Supply, Marketing, Regulatory & Legal).
• Own end‑to‑end project delivery aligned with business objectives and priorities.
• Ensure compliance with quality, regulatory standards, and internal development processes.
• Identify, assess, and mitigate project and compliance risks proactively.
• Plan, execute, and continuously improve project methodologies and ways of working.
• Drive collaboration and knowledge sharing across projects and teams.
• Build strong stakeholder relationships and ensure alignment across functions and leadership levels.
• Deliver clear reporting and strategic recommendations to steering committees.
