Job summary

Ascom is seeking an experienced Project Manager in Gothenburg to lead global supply chain projects from scope through handover to maintenance. You will coordinate across Supply Chain, Quality, Purchasing, Logistics, R&D and suppliers, ensuring quality, capacity, cost and lead times meet requirements.

The role involves international collaboration, travel to supplier sites and driving continuous improvement in project methods and manufacturing processes. Fluency in English and Swedish is required.

Qualifications

• Master's degree in mechanical engineering, electronic engineering or related field.
• Several years of experience within Supply Chain, Manufacturing and/or Quality Assurance.
• Proven experience leading projects and cross-functional project teams.
• Strong knowledge of project management methods, planning, risk management and stakeholder coordination.
• Experience working with EMS or ODM suppliers and external manufacturing partners.
• Experience and strong knowledge in translating technical requirements into clear manufacturing, supplier and quality deliverables.
• Good understanding of electronic manufacturing processes, production, testing, logistics, purchasing and quality assurance.
• Excellent communication skills and professional fluency in English and Swedish.

Responsibilities

• Plan, lead and follow up supply chain projects, including scope, timelines, deliverables, risks and reporting.
• Ensure quality assurance and on-time delivery throughout the project lifecycle.
• Coordinate product introductions and secure a smooth transition into ramp-up, mass production and the maintenance phase.
• Ensure that products are manufactured and repaired according to Ascom’s requirements for quality, capacity and lead time.
• Manage project progress with EMS and ODM suppliers, including cost, quality management plans, yield, capacity, efficiency and pre-series activities.
• Confirm that manufacturing processes and deliveries are developed, validated and ready for implementation.
• Build and maintain strong relationships with suppliers and internal stakeholders.
• Coordinate activities across Supply Chain, Quality, Purchasing, Logistics, R&D, Marketing and other relevant functions.
• Support continuous improvement and standardization of supply chain project methods, processes and ways of working.
• Contribute to a stable, secure and continuously improving global supply chain.
