Job summary

Volvo Construction Equipment seeks a strategic Head of Public Affairs to shape the external policy environment and translate political developments into business opportunities. You will advise senior leaders and represent Volvo CE in dialogues with policymakers and stakeholders.

Based in Eskilstuna, Sweden, the role requires coordinating with Volvo Group Public Affairs, driving external engagement, and fostering partnerships across Europe and globally while supporting long-term competitiveness.

Qualifications

Extensive experience in Public Affairs in industry, government or related strategic function.
Strong knowledge of Swedish and European political institutions, regulatory processes and decision-making.
Proven ability to develop advocacy strategies and influence policy developments.
Ability to connect political/regulatory developments to business strategy and opportunities.
Excellent communication, stakeholder management and influencing skills in English and Swedish.
University degree as specified above.

Responsibilities

Lead Volvo CE's Global Public Affairs agenda and advise senior leadership.
Shape and execute Public Affairs strategy in coordination with Volvo Group Public Affairs.
Monitor and interpret political, regulatory, economic and geopolitical developments.
Develop evidence-based policy positions and advocacy plans.
Build trusted partnerships with policymakers, industry bodies, NGOs and customers.
Represent Volvo CE in industry forums and external engagements.
