Job summary

Jeppesen ForeFlight is seeking a Senior DevOps Manager to lead a distributed team across Gothenburg, Bangalore and Montreal. You will oversee deployment architecture, CI/CD pipelines, and security posture for our SaaS platforms.

The role emphasizes hands-on leadership, architectural trade-offs, and stakeholder alignment with Product Owners. You will drive automation, reliability, and best practices in a fast-growing environment.

Qualifications

Proven experience leading engineering teams, ideally distributed across countries and cultures.
Strong technical background in DevOps, cloud deployment or platform engineering, with depth to engage in design discussions.
Working knowledge of AWS, Kubernetes and containers, CI/CD (GitHub Actions/GitLab) and security fundamentals such as IAM.
Excellent stakeholder management across product, delivery and customer-facing teams.
Ability to influence without formal authority and to negotiate priorities with architecture and product organizations.
Experience with agile ways of working and continuous improvement.
Advanced English, spoken and written.

Responsibilities

Lead, coach and grow a global team across three sites and time zones.
Support and back up senior architects and engineers; clear blockers and shape priorities with a Product Owner.
Set direction for deployment, CI/CD and security architecture, including migration to Kubernetes-driven, cloud-based deployments.
Balance demands from different product lines with transparent prioritization and capacity planning.
Be the business-side owner of the Configuration Environment direction with a Product Owner.
Gather input from implementation teams and turn it into clear priorities.
Be a driving partner in acceleration programs and report status to leadership.
Work with Product Architects to turn architecture improvements into adopted practice.
Support customer-facing security and architecture discussions, audits.
Drive operational excellence, including reliability and security by design and AI-assisted workflows.
Recruit, onboard and develop talent across sites.
Collaborate with external partners to scale the team.
