Job summary

Jeppesen ForeFlight is seeking a Senior DevSecOps Engineer in Gothenburg to lead the migration of the configuration platform from self-hosted GitLab on AWS to a GitHub-hosted setup. You will design and implement secure CI/CD pipelines, write Bash and Python scripts, and collaborate with diverse teams to deliver scalable SaaS solutions for airline customers.

The role emphasizes senior hands-on engineering with architectural influence, security-by-default in pipelines, and a hybrid office presence

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in computer science, engineering or related field, or equivalent experience.
• A foundation in classic software development engineering (architecture, design, OO, etc.)
• 10+ years of professional experience in software or DevOps engineering
• 10+ years of experience with Linux environments (system administration) and Bash scripting
• 8+ years of experience with DevSecOps, with a proven ability to make security an integrated part of the development and delivery process
• 8+ years of experience with Python (scripting)
• 6+ years of experience with CI/CD pipelines
• 3+ years of experience with GitHub workflows/actions
• 5+ years of experience with containers (Docker and Kubernetes)
• 5+ years of experience with AWS and cloud environments in general
• A proven track record of taking clear initiative and driving new ideas from proposal to result
• Strong analytical approach to problem solving and good communication skills
• A curious mind, a continuous improvement mindset and a team-player attitude, including a willingness to share knowledge and mentor others
• Flexibility and the ability to handle a broad range of tasks
• Fluency in English (our corporate language), spoken and written

Responsibilities

• Shape the technical ecosystem. Use your DevSecOps expertise to automate and improve the user experience of the Configuration Environment, with robust containerized environments and seamless, secure CI/CD pipelines.
• Own design and architecture. Take responsibility for key design decisions, make them with clear reasoning, and influence the technical direction of the platform.
• Take initiative. Identify problems and opportunities, propose solutions and drive them to completion.
• Solve complex problems. Apply a sharp analytical approach to directly impact product success, and use AI where it is effective.
