Job summary

Alstom in Västerås seeks a full-time Bid Manager to lead tender campaigns for PowerTrain / Traction components. You will coordinate with Sweden and global teams to deliver high-quality, timely proposals, driving governance and cost control.

You will manage a bid team, improve processes, and handle financial, contractual, and legal aspects. English is required; Swedish is a plus. A dynamic, collaborative environment awaits.

Qualifications

• Project/Bid Management background, particularly in costing, planning, and risk management.
• Knowledge of ALSTOM processes, including Golden Rules and E&C compliance.
• Basic knowledge of offered products and systems.
• Understanding of financial, contractual, and legal aspects to assess impacts on costing.
• Strong team management and collaboration skills under tight deadlines.
• Excellent communication, reporting, and negotiation skills.
• Customer-oriented mindset.
• Fluency in English; Swedish is an advantage.

Responsibilities

• Lead a bid team and ensure all deliverables on time and according to governance.
• Deliver winning proposals and ensure high-quality, cost-effective tenders.
• Collaborate with teams across Sweden and other countries (Traction Engineering, Procurement, Manufacturing, Project Management, QA & Services, Product Management and Competitiveness Management).
• Improve tender processes and enhance collaboration with key stakeholders.
• Manage tenders for PowerTrain / Traction Component Design Site in Västerås.
