Job summary

Alstom in Västerås is seeking a full-time Bid Manager to lead a bid team across Train Vehicle and third-party engagements. You will manage tender quality, cost, and delivery performance, deliver proposals with defined scopes, and ensure timely governance across Sweden and international sites.

We value a master’s or bachelor’s degree and a background in project/bid management, costing, planning, and risk. Fluency in English is essential; Swedish is an advantage.

• Basic knowledge of offered products and systems

• Fluency in English; Swedish is an advantage

Could you be the full-time Bid Manager in Västerås we’re looking for?

Your future role

Take on a new challenge and apply your project and bid management expertise in a cutting-edge field. You’ll work alongside collaborative and dynamic team mates.

You’ll play a key role in delivering winning proposals and ensuring high-quality, cost-effective, and timely tender commitments. Day-to-day, you’ll work closely with teams across the business both in Sweden and several countries around the world (including Traction Engineering, Procurement, Manfacturing, Project Management, QA & Services, Product Management and Competitiveness Management). You will be responsible for leading a bid team and ensuring all deliverables on time and according to correct governance process, as needed by either Train Vehicle or 3rd party business.

You’ll specifically take care of managing tenders for PowerTrain / Traction Component Design Site in Västerås and you will also be expected to take part in improving the tender processes, but also enhancing collaboration and managing key stakeholders.

We’ll look to you for:

• Managing the Tender Quality Costs Delivery Performance (QCDP) commitment for High, Medium and Low critical bids on time and according to process and stakeholder needs
• Delivering proposals with defined scopes and accurate QCDP commitments
• Ensuring Traction product offerings are at competitive levels
• Managing bypass components related to Traction
• Supporting the Bid to Project handover process and Project Manager in First Financial Project Review (FPR0) preparation
• Supporting the Tender Leader in Win & Loss analysis preparation
