Job summary

Alstom in Västerås is seeking a full-time Bid Manager to lead a bid team across Train Vehicle and third-party engagements. You will manage tender quality, cost, and delivery performance, deliver proposals with defined scopes, and ensure timely governance across Sweden and international sites.

We value a master’s or bachelor’s degree and a background in project/bid management, costing, planning, and risk. Fluency in English is essential; Swedish is an advantage.

Qualifications

• Master’s degree or bachelor’s degree
• Project/Bid Management background, particularly in costing, planning, and risk management
• Knowledge of ALSTOM processes, including “Golden Rules” and E&C compliance
• Basic knowledge of offered products and systems
• Understanding of financial, contractual, and legal aspects to assess impacts on costing
• Strong team management and collaboration skills under tight deadlines
• Excellent communication, reporting, and negotiation skills
• Customer-oriented mindset
• Fluency in English; Swedish is an advantage

Responsibilities

• Lead the bid team and ensure all deliverables meet timelines and governance.
• Manage Tender Quality Costs Delivery Performance (QCDP) commitments for high, medium and low bids.
• Deliver proposals with defined scopes and accurate QCDP commitments.
• Ensure Traction product offerings remain at competitive levels.
• Support the bid-to-project handover and First Financial Project Review.
• Assist Tender Leader in Win/Loss analysis preparation
