Job summary

Saab is seeking a Forward Deployed Engineer to join Product Tech. You will work on strategic digitalization initiatives and forward deployed engagements, accelerating innovation and delivering real impact across the organization.

You will operate across building new capabilities and ensuring they are deployed, adopted, and used in real product environments, collaborating with engineers and domain experts.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or related technical field.
• Minimum 2 years of experience in software engineering, preferably in complex systems or product environments.
• Proven experience with cloud-based solutions, CI/CD pipelines, system design and architecture.
• Experience applying AI to create real-world product value beyond prototyping.

Responsibilities

• Work hands-on with complex technical problems across different product areas.
• Build and improve shared platforms and components used throughout Saab.
• Explore and apply technologies like AI, cloud, edge computing and real-time systems.
• Collaborate with engineers, architects and domain experts.
• Turn ambiguous challenges into clear, elegant solutions.
• Influence technical direction and long-term platform strategy.
