Product Tech is where Saab's future technology takes shape. As a central part of Common Tech, Product Tech's mission is to build the shared technical solutions that will be used across Saab's products – today and tomorrow.
Here you work with developing and evolving platforms, components and technical capabilities that form the foundation for next-generation systems. A particular focus lies on AI‑based solutions that will be integrated into Saab's product portfolio and used broadly across the organisation. What you help create in Product Tech has direct impact across multiple products, teams and business areas.
In Product Tech, deep technical expertise is combined with a long‑term perspective. The work is not about individual projects, but about building stable, reusable and future‑proof solutions that other teams can rely on. Here you have the opportunity to influence architecture, technical decisions and direction – in an environment where quality, collaboration and technical leadership are at the centre.
If you want to work close to tomorrow's AI solutions and help build the technical foundation for Saab's products, Product Tech is the right place for you.
Do you want to help bridge the gap between today and the future – and play a key role in driving Saab's digital transformation? This is not a traditional developer role. It's a role for curious minds who enjoy variety, creativity and deep technical thinking.
As a Forward Deployed Engineer, you'll work close to our internal product teams, understand their challenges, and turn them into smart, scalable technical solutions. You'll explore new technologies, learn fast and help shape the foundations of future Saab systems.
You're someone who enjoys understanding how things work – and how they could work better. You learn quickly, think in systems and like solving problems that don't have obvious answers. Your background might be in software development, systems engineering, data engineering, research engineering or something else entirely. What matters is how you think.
As a Systems Engineer, you'll work at the intersection of software, architecture and system design. You'll help us understand how complex systems behave, how they scale and how we can make them better.
You think in systems, patterns and interactions. You enjoy understanding the whole picture—not just one component. You're curious, analytical and comfortable navigating complexity. Your background might be in software engineering, systems engineering, embedded systems, data engineering or similar.
Some of our roles require security clearance under Swedish security protection legislation. For roles where Saab has requirements for security classification, this may in some cases entail requirements for a certain citizenship.
Common Tech's mission is to create shared technical capabilities for all of Saab. By developing and managing shared platforms, technical frameworks and ways of working, Common Tech enables efficient, consistent and long‑term technology development across the entire organisation. The goal is to give Saab's teams the right technical foundation to develop advanced products with high quality, safety and reliability.
Product Tech is one of several departments within Common Tech and focuses on developing and evolving technical solutions used across multiple products and systems. Here, reusable components, shared functionality and technical solutions are built that help product teams work faster and more structured, while maintaining high standards for stability and quality.
