Saab is seeking a Forward Deployed Engineer to partner with product teams and tackle complex technical challenges. You will build and adopt modern platforms, tools, and engineering practices across Saab’s product landscape, enabling rapid innovation and reliable delivery.

You will explore technologies like AI, cloud, edge computing, and real-time systems while guiding teams toward scalable, reusable solutions and stronger technical leadership.

Qualifications

• Several years of experience working with software or systems engineering in complex product or technology environments.
• Experience designing, building, or evolving technical solutions used by others.
• Familiarity with modern engineering practices such as cloud technologies, CI/CD, automation, platform engineering, or distributed systems.
• An interest in how AI, data, and emerging technologies can create practical value.
• The ability to break down complex problems and turn uncertainty into clear direction.
• Strong collaboration skills and an eagerness to learn from and share knowledge with others.

Your role

As a Forward Deployed Engineer, you'll partner with product teams across Saab to solve complex technical challenges and accelerate innovation. You will build solutions, introduce new technologies and platforms, and help teams successfully adopt modern engineering practices.

What you'll bring
