Job summary

Datadog is seeking an Enterprise Sales Engineer to partner with Sales and help customers understand the value of Datadog. You will lead technical evaluations, deliver demos, and guide customers from discovery to adoption, acting as a trusted advisor bridging business goals with technical solutions.

You’ll collaborate with Product, Support, and GTM teams to address customer needs, document activity, and drive Datadog adoption across accounts.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of experience in Sales Engineering, Solutions Engineering, or a technical customer-facing role in an enterprise environment.
• Ability to navigate multi-stakeholder environments and adapt communication to technical, business, and executive audiences.
• Proficient background in public cloud (AWS, Azure, GCP), Kubernetes, APM/tracing, security and observability.

Responsibilities

• Own the sales process in partnership with Account Executives by shaping the technical strategy across opportunities from PG to Closed Won.
• Lead customer discovery to uncover technical challenges, business goals, and success criteria, translating needs into Datadog solutions.
• Deliver engaging product demos, technical presentations, and workshops linking platform capabilities to customer outcomes.
• Project manage end-to-end technical evaluations (POVs): scope use cases, define success criteria, build project plans with timelines.
