Job summary

Sinch is seeking an Engineering Manager to lead our core API Connectivity team in Malmö, Sweden. This leader will provide people management and technical mentorship, shaping architecture, standards, and the long-term roadmap for the API Gateway that powers Sinch products.

• Proven leadership in backend platform design and reliability.
• Strong Java/Kotlin, Spring, and cloud-native tech.
• Experience with API gateways and event-driven systems.
• Experience leading teams and driving architectural decisions.
• Hybrid Malmö office with local base; English for communication.

Responsibilities

• Lead a co-located team of four software engineers with career growth.
• Define technical strategy and roadmap for the API Gateway powering Sinch products.
• Oversee design and rollout of centralized Event Delivery Platform in 6–12 months.
• Drive outcomes through team health, platform adoption across SMS, Voice, Conversation API, and Numbers, and decommission legacy systems.
• Act as primary technical advocate, aligning with product, design, and engineering teams.
