Job summary

Sinch is seeking a Backend Software Engineer III in Stockholm to build and operate the services behind our customer sign-up and verification flows. You will join a small team and own features from design to production, collaborating with the Tech Lead, Product, and cross-functional partners.

Qualifications

• 3–4+ years backend development experience.
• Experience with Node.js (TypeScript a plus).
• Experience building REST APIs.
• Good knowledge of SQL databases (PostgreSQL/MySQL).
• Hands-on experience with Kubernetes.
• Experience working with distributed systems and microservices.
• Experience with Docker and CI/CD pipelines.
• Comfortable with Git, code reviews, and pull requests.
• Good understanding of clean code and basic design patterns.
• Ability to work independently on most tasks.
• Clear communication in English, written and spoken.
• Willingness to work hybrid from our Stockholm office.

Responsibilities

• Build and maintain backend services and REST APIs in Node.js and TypeScript.
• Design and work with SQL databases (PostgreSQL, MySQL, or similar).
• Develop and deploy microservices on Kubernetes, using Docker and CI/CD pipelines.
• Contribute to the distributed systems that power customer sign-up and verification.
• Write clean, tested, maintainable code using sound design patterns.
• Take part in code reviews and pull requests, and help raise code quality across the team.
• Own the features you build from design through to production.
• Follow a build-ship-run approach.
