Job summary

Flower is looking for an Energy Market Specialist to own the economics of Flower's asset portfolio and help maximize earnings from batteries across Europe. This is an analysis and follow-up role focused on understanding what was earned, what could have earned, and why.

You will read and interpret asset P&L data, investigate deviations, and collaborate with Asset Management, Commercial and other teams to implement improvements across day-ahead, intraday and balancing markets, with emphasis on

Qualifications

• 5+ years of professional experience, with at least 3 years in power markets or the wider energy industry.
• Fluent in English; Swedish, Finnish or German a plus.
• Strong data literacy and ability to translate numbers into actionable insights.
• Ability to explain attribution results to commercial teams and defend them to a model team.

Responsibilities

• Own the asset P&L and monitor performance and economics of each asset.
• Investigate deviations by digging into data to find root causes.
• Quantify opportunity costs across energy and balancing markets and justify trade-offs.
• Turn findings into improvement proposals for Asset Optimization teams and follow up until implemented.
• Develop deep understanding of German and Nordic markets to assess revenues and opportunities.
• Bridge commercial and technical teams to connect downtime and availability to economic impact.
• Track delivery against commitments and flag deviations and risks early.
• Contribute to building dashboards that answer the questions that matter.
