Job summary

Flower is seeking a Performance Engineer to join the Asset Management team. You will monitor the performance of energy assets, onboard new assets into the monitoring platform, and translate data into insights for optimization models.

With 3–5 years in energy asset monitoring, you will coordinate with partners and suppliers, ensure alarms are correctly set, and help reduce downtime while driving value from the portfolio.

Qualifications

• Technical degree with energy systems focus or equivalent energy storage experience.
• Experience with energy asset monitoring and ops on energy assets (3–5+ years).
• Strong knowledge of hardware, cloud integrations and industrial protocols (Modbus).
• Ability to analyze data for predictive maintenance and fault detection.
• Excellent English communication and cross‑company coordination.

About The Role

As Performance Engineer, you'll join our Asset Management team and be an important part of monitoring and performance across Flower's growing portfolio of energy assets, including battery storage (BESS). You'll ensure our assets run at industry-standard availability by proactively detecting issues before they cause downtime, managing incident escalation, and continuously improving how we monitor performance through our asset management platform. You'll also play a key role in turning operational data into insights that feed directly into our optimization models - helping us make smarter decisions and unlock long‑term value from every asset in the portfolio.

What You’ll Do

• Monitor and ensure the performance and availability of Flower's energy assets
• Onboard new and existing assets into our monitoring platform, configuring data points and validating that signals and alarms are correctly set up
• Drive proactive, data-driven analysis to catch potential failures early and minimize unplanned downtime
• Coordinate with external partners, suppliers, and system integrators to troubleshoot issues and improve data integration
• Maintain clear downtime reporting and track KPIs to keep asset health transparent across the organization

Who You Are

• You have a technical degree with a focus on energy systems or equivalent proven experience within Energy Storage Systems (BESS) and/or energy production
• Strong technical understanding of energy asset hardware, cloud integrations and industrial communication protocols (e.g., Modbus, IoT gateways)
• You bring minimum 3-5 years of experience working with performance monitoring or operations on energy assets
• Proven ability to analyze complex data sets to perform predictive maintenance and fault detection
• Strong interpersonal skills for high‑stakes coordination with external partners, subcontractors, and emergency rescue services
• Strong communication skills in English both written and spoken
• Confident cross-company communication skills, able to liaise and coordinate effectively with external partners, subcontractors, suppliers, and other stakeholder organizations

Our beautiful office is located in the heart of Södermalm, just a short walk from Slussen subway station. We encourage in-office collaboration but support a hybrid work model.
