Job summary

Flex Power Modules is seeking a Design Engineer Mechanics to join our Kalmar R&D team, developing next-generation DC/DC conversion and power electronics for AI and data center infrastructure. You will work hands-on with cutting-edge technologies and collaborate with global teams to push the boundaries of performance.

The role focuses on developing mechanical components, ensuring producibility, tolerances, and integration with production in Shanghai.

Qualifications

• Bachelor or Master of Science in Mechanical Engineering.
• Good knowledge of any PLM system.
• Experience in mechanics.
• Fluent in English and Swedish.

Responsibilities

• Participate in the development of new power modules, working with the design team to develop mechanical components (power pins, ferrites, cooling plates) and prepare production bases.
• Participate in studies to ensure the technology and knowledge for the next development step.
• Coordinate with production engineers at our Shanghai factory to ensure production capability; travel to factory or suppliers may be required.
• Develop mechanical components: power/signals pins, cooling plates and ferrites.
• Evaluate and select glues and thermal filling materials; ensure producibility regarding tolerances and assembly.
• Manage and develop the design process.
