Job summary

Flex Power Modules is seeking a Design Engineer Mechanics to join our R&D team in Kalmar. You will develop mechanical components for next‑generation power modules, work with design and production teams, and help ensure producibility and manufacturing readiness for global delivery.

The role requires a Bachelor or Master of Science in Mechanical Engineering, strong CAD skills, PLM experience, and fluency in English and Swedish.

Qualifications

• Bachelor or Master of Science in Mechanical Engineering.
• Good CAD skills.
• Good knowledge of any PLM system.
• Experience in mechanics.
• Fluent in English and Swedish.

Responsibilities

• Develop mechanical components such as power pins, cooling plates, and ferrites for new power modules.
• Collaborate with design team to prepare production bases and validate producibility.
• Work with production engineers in Shanghai to ensure manufacturing capability.
• Participate in studies to support next development steps.
• Evaluate glues and thermal filling materials for performance and reliability.
• Manage tolerances and assembly considerations in design processes.
