Job summary

SEB is seeking a Data Steward within Financial Crime Prevention to improve data quality, governance and transparency across critical data assets. You will work with Data Owners, Product Owners and IT to define controls, investigate issues and drive data management maturity across transaction monitoring, due diligence and regulatory reporting.

The role sits at the intersection of Financial Crime Prevention, Data Management and Regulatory Compliance, offering exposure to data governance platforms

Qualifications

• Experience in Data Management, Data Governance, Data Stewardship, Data Quality Management, Data Analysis or related disciplines.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving capabilities.
• Proven ability to collaborate with both business and technical stakeholders.
• Ability to translate business needs into practical data management solutions and controls.
• Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.
• Experience with data quality issues, controls and remediation processes.
• Proficiency in English (written and spoken).

Responsibilities

• Support Data Owner in implementing Data Management responsibilities for the Data Area, including data sharing agreements.
• Ensure data availability for analytic teams to derive insights and value.
• Develop and maintain business glossary and definitions (ontology) for the Data Area.
• Identify synergies across use cases to enable scalable data product development.
• Establish and maintain metadata and information in the Enterprise Data Catalogue, incl. data classifications and personal data.
• Define and manage data quality controls and remediation processes.
• Define data lifecycle management processes and support downstream data consumers.
• Collaborate with architects, developers and stakeholders to support data initiatives and ensure cross-use-case synergies.
