Job summary

Electrolux Group in Stockholm seeks a Data Steward to establish clear ownership for workforce data quality across HR and to operationalise the domain ownership model. The role focuses on standards, data governance, and building confidence in HR data underpinning reporting and analytics.

You will join a small team, own data quality KPIs, maintain the HR data dictionary, and collaborate with HR, IT and Finance to ensure trusted data for governance, audits and decision‑making.

Qualifications

• Experience in data governance or data quality in an HR analytics role.
• Understanding of HR data domains (headcount, compensation, performance).
• Ability to translate governance concepts into practical operational processes.
• Strong stakeholder management with influence without authority.
• Experience with HR information systems (Workday preferred).
• Clear written and verbal English communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Define and maintain workforce data quality standards; establish KPIs and thresholds; conduct data quality assessments and governance reports; own the data quality issue log.
• Domain ownership enablement: support HR domain owners, develop onboarding materials, guidance and toolkits; run enablement sessions; primary contact for data quality.
• Maintain the HR data dictionary; govern data entry standards and validation rules in HR systems (incl. Workday); resolve definitional inconsistencies; collaborate on system-level controls.
• Design and operate data quality monitoring routines; address systemic issues; coordinate with domain owners and IT; report progress.
• Act as bridge between HR, IT and Finance; ensure reporting uses trusted data; support audit and compliance activities.
• Identify and implement improvements to data collection, validation and maintenance; monitor industry developments; drive continuous improvement.

We are seeking a Data Steward to establish clear ownership and accountability for workforce data quality across HR. The role will operationalise the domain ownership model, embed consistent standards, resolve data quality issues and build confidence in the workforce data that underpins reporting, analytics and strategic decision‑making.

Why this role matters

Ownership of workforce data has shifted to a domain ownership model. Historically, the lack of clear ownership led to inconsistent standards and poor data quality. By defining and governing the data stewardship model, you will ensure that HR data is accurate, reliable and trusted.

You will join a team of four and report directly to the HR Analytics Manager.

Main responsibilities

• Data Quality Governance: Define and maintain workforce data quality standards; establish KPIs and thresholds; conduct regular data quality assessments and produce governance reports; own the data quality issue log.
• Domain Ownership Enablement: Support HR domain owners in understanding and fulfilling their data accountability; develop onboarding materials, guidance and toolkits; run enablement sessions; serve as the primary point of contact for data quality matters.
• Standards & Definitions: Maintain the HR data dictionary; govern data entry standards and validation rules in HR systems (incl. Workday); identify and resolve definitional inconsistencies; partner with HR Technology and IT on system‑level controls.
• Monitoring & Issue Resolution: Design and operate data quality monitoring routines; escape systemic or unresolved issues; coordinate with domain owners and technical teams; track issue resolution and report on progress.
• Cross‑Functional Coordination: Act as the bridge between HR, IT and Finance; coordinate with Analytics to ensure reporting is built on trusted data; represent HR data governance in forums; support audit and compliance activities.
• Continuous Improvement: Identify and implement improvements to data collection, validation and maintenance; monitor industry developments; build a continuous improvement cycle.

Requirements

• Experience in data governance, data quality management or a related HR analytics role.
• Understanding of HR data domains (e.g., headcount, compensation, performance, learning).
• Ability to translate data governance concepts into practical operational processes.
• Strong stakeholder management skills—ability to engage and influence without direct authority.
• Experience with HR information systems (Workday preferred).
• Structured approach to problem‑solving and issue resolution.
• Clear written and verbal communication skills in English.
• Exposure to HR analytics, reporting, or BI tooling, or experience in data engineering, and experience in a global or matrixed organisation; knowledge of global and local data privacy regulations (e.g., GDPR) regarding employee data is an asset.
