Job summary

Google Sweden is seeking a Data Center Technical Operations Manager to own COLO site operations and coordinate technical support for regional mini-clusters. You will work with data center engineering teams and third-party vendors to ensure operability, reliability and efficiency.

The role requires experience in electrical, mechanical/HVAC and data center infrastructure, with strong incident management skills and on-call coverage across global sites.

Qualifications

• Associate's degree, trade school certification, or related technical training, or equivalent practical experience.
• 9 years of Electrical/Mechanical/HVAC or controls experience in an industrial/commercial environment.
• Ability to lift and move 50 lbs of equipment, and work on platforms, ladders, and under raised floors.
• Ability to work non-standard hours and differing work rotations/shifts.
• Bachelor's degree or advanced education in a related field (preferred).
• Experience in data center environments and operating infrastructure (preferred).
• Experience initiating and executing initiatives in a global environment (preferred).
• Ability to perform operational assessment and risk analysis of third-party sites (preferred).

Responsibilities

• Own CO-Location (COLO) sites facility operation within an area/region, with full accountability.
• Provide technical support for mini-cluster (COLO) sites within a region.
• Keep main stakeholders informed about current work and discuss strategic decisions and directions with them.
• Provide technical expertise during incidents, and coordinate the planning of critical activities.
• Provide occasional oncall support to the global third-party data center operation.
