Job summary

Google is seeking a Third Party Data Center Technical Operations Manager, Facilities/Maintenance, to oversee COLO site operations, coordinate with global teams, and drive cost-effective reliability across electrical, cooling, and IT infrastructure. You will monitor facilities, read schematics, and mentor junior staff.

Experience in data center environments, strong technical grounding, and the ability to work non-standard hours are required.

Qualifications

• Associate’s degree, trade school certification, or equivalent in a related technical field.
• 9 years of experience in Electrical, Mechanical/HVAC, or controls in industrial/commercial environments.
• Ability to lift and move 50 lbs, work on platforms, ladders, and under raised floors.
• Ability to work non-standard hours and varying shifts.

Responsibilities

• Operate, monitor and support data center facilities and systems.
• Read blueprints and schematics; assist senior technicians.
• Inspect, maintain and repair data center components and systems.
• Coordinate with internal teams and vendors to ensure reliability and operability.
• Manage incidents and outages to minimize recovery time and costs.
