Job summary

Google is seeking a Data Center Operations Plant Engineer in Sweden to join our Facilities team. You will lead troubleshooting, inspect and repair critical systems, and optimize energy efficiency across LV/MV/HV electrical and HVAC installations in a data center environment.

The role emphasizes reducing operational costs while meeting strict safety and environmental standards, with opportunities to influence global facilities programs and reliability improvements across sites.

Qualifications

• Associate degree or certified training in a related technical field or equivalent practical experience.
• 7 years of electrical experience in an industrial/commercial environment.
• Ability to lift up to 50 lbs (23 kg) and use PPE and safety equipment as required.
• Ability to work non-standard hours and rotating shifts.

Responsibilities

• Provide effective leadership for critical system troubleshooting and repairs with minimal supervision.
• Operate critical plant equipment as authorized by facilities manager.
• Coordinate inputs for global facilities programs (CMMS, BMS, energy savings, training and thermography).
