Job summary

Google Stockholm is seeking a Data Center Facilities Technician focused on generators to help maintain reliability of critical power systems. You will inspect, maintain and repair generator sets, and support startup and commissioning of new equipment.

The role requires hands-on experience with mechanical and electrical systems in data centers, ability to diagnose faults with diagnostic tools, and a commitment to safety and environmental standards.

Qualifications

• Experience with data centers and generator systems.
• Ability to troubleshoot mechanical and electrical failures using diagnostic tools and manuals.
• Willingness to perform inspections, maintenance and repairs on power equipment.

Responsibilities

• Perform routine inspections and scheduled preventive maintenance on generator sets.
• Troubleshoot and diagnose mechanical and electrical failures using diagnostic tools and technical manuals.
• Perform major and minor repairs on engines, alternators, control panels, and electrical systems.
• Operate, monitor, maintain, and respond to abnormal conditions in the data center facilities systems and equipment.
• Support startup, commissioning, and integration of new generator equipment and systems into facilities infrastructure.
