Job summary

Amazon Data Services Sweden AB is seeking a Global Field Engineer to drive operational excellence in colocation data center operations and support AWS within its distributed global field operations. The role focuses on reliability, availability, and cost-effective facilities management across multiple colocation sites.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of experience in data center engineering and electrical/mechanical systems.
• Experience with electrical power distribution, UPS, switchgear, and HVAC.
• Familiarity with change management processes and on-site safety standards.

Responsibilities

• Supervise, advise and collab with Colocation operators performing servicing or preventive maintenance.
• Assist in performing root cause analysis for operational issues.
• Perform periodic on site reviews and audits of operations, electrical, and mechanical systems.
• Supervise the design and implementation of retrofits of existing facilities.
• Qualify new sites for new deployments.
• Drive operational excellence in all data center sites.
• Perform first level troubleshooting for facility and rack level events.
• Approval of all CMs (Change Management Tasks) to enable changes and maintenance at sites.
• Attending weekly calls with both TPMs and CAD designers, designing and retrofitting new and existing cages within our EMEA edge space.
