PerkinElmer Gothenburg is seeking a Customer Service Engineer to provide on-site support at AZ Gothenburg (Sweden) for complex laboratory equipment. You will perform installation, preventive and remedial maintenance, troubleshooting, and repair, while ensuring operational quality and training customers on usage.
The role spans system hardware, software, PCs, networking, and laboratory instrumentation, with a focus on service quality and customer satisfaction.
Location: AZ Gothenburg (Sweden) – Customer Site
The Customer Service Engineer provides highly visible, on-site customer support through installation, preventive and remedial maintenance, troubleshooting, and repair of complex laboratory equipment and systems. You will verify and approve the operational quality of system equipment, instruct customers on operation and maintenance, and act as the company's liaison on administrative and technical matters for assigned projects. This role spans system hardware, software, PCs, networking/wireless networking, and laboratory instrumentation. It is a customer support role, not a research position, though scientific literacy is beneficial to understand lab processes.
The mandate includes NMR, LC/MS and SFC systems, Äkta systems, Tecan and other robot systems, freeze‑dryers (lyophilizers), rotary/roller evaporators, vacuum pumps, centrifuges and balances/scales, clean/purified water systems, and electro‑mechanical subsystems with controls and rule‑based fault correction, electronics, PCs, and networking/wireless networking.
This is a hands‑on service/maintenance technician role, not a research position; scientific literacy is advantageous. Roles based at our client site in Gothenburg require a drug test and background screening. All roles at PerkinElmer Sweden include a standard 6‑month probationary period.
