Job summary

IDOM is seeking a Contract & Change Leader to join the Metals & Minerals team for a pioneering international project in the steel industry in Sweden. You will manage all commercial and legal aspects of signed contracts and collaborate with clients and cross-functional teams under supervision of the Contract & Change Leader.

Qualifications

  • A degree in Engineering, Business Administration or Law.
  • More than 5 years' experience in contract management for technically complex projects in Oil & Gas, Engineering & Construction, Steel, Mining and/or Infrastructure sectors.
  • Experience in EPC contract management and/or PMC/EPCM services.
  • Ability to work under pressure in multicultural teams.
  • Experience in risk planning and mitigation measures.
  • Experience in using MS Office, Primavera and/or Aconex.
  • Ability to work in a team and with technical rigour.
  • Autonomy and innovative mindset.
  • Advanced English.
  • Willingness to relocate to Sweden for the duration of the project.

Responsibilities

  • Assist the Contract Leader and Project Managers in planning, integrating, coordinating, and controlling all activities related to the PMC contract in the assigned Construction, Contracts, Units, or processes.
  • Ensure compliance with the client's policies, general strategies, and procedures for the execution of the PMC contract in the assigned Construction or Contracts Areas.
  • Identify early on any potential risks to the project related to the assigned contracts and/or suppliers, develop appropriate treatment plans and inform the contract manager without delay.
  • Ensure that the deliverables prepared by the PMC management team comply with the requirements, quality standards and procedures of the PMC contract for the supervision of the works contracts of the assigned Process Units.
  • Issue and sign formal communications inherent to the execution of the PMC contract for the supervision of the works contracts of the Process Units under your responsibility.
  • Attend regular PMC project and contract review meetings, supervising the completion of tasks assigned to those responsible for each department and/or discipline.

ABOUT THE JOB

We are looking for a Contract & Change Leader to join the team of Metals & Minerals to participate in a pioneering international project in the steel industry in Sweden).

In this role, you will be responsible for managing all commercial and legal aspects of signed contracts and will collaborate with the client and cross-functional teams to address contractual issues (compliance, non-compliance, rights and obligations, risks and mitigations, etc.), all under the supervision of the Contract & Change Leader.
