Job summary

Royal Den Hartogh Logistics is seeking a commercially driven Commercial Manager to lead a regional sales team in Sweden and Finland, driving growth in the Nordic region and expanding the logistics network. You will identify opportunities, nurture client partnerships, and collaborate with Operations and Pricing to deliver profitable solutions.

Qualifications

  • 3–5 years' experience in a B2B commercial or sales role within logistics, supply chain, or transport.
  • Experience leading a team across multiple locations.
  • Proactive business development mentality with client trust.
  • Strong understanding of transport networks and regional market dynamics.
  • Excellent relationship building, communication and negotiation skills.
  • Willingness to travel regularly across the assigned region.

Are you a commercially driven sales professional who is passionate about building long-term customer relationships while leading a sales team to thrive and grow?

We are looking for a Commercial Manager to drive commercial growth across an assigned region within our liquid chemical area. In addition, you will lead and develop a small team based in Sweden and Finland, ensuring strong collaboration, engagement and performance across the region.

This is a true business development role, focused on identifying new opportunities within our current business portfolio, securing new transport flows and expanding our logistics network. Working closely with your team and other functional departments, you'll help deliver profitable growth while becoming the commercial face of the business in the Nordic region.

Key activities linked to the role:

  • Identify, develop and win new business opportunities across your assigned region and customer portfolio.

Job requirements
What we’re looking for:
  • 3–5 years' experience in a B2B commercial or sales role within logistics, supply chain, or transport.

  • Previous people management or team leadership experience, with the ability to motivate and develop employees across different locations.

  • A proactive, business development mentality that creates strong trustworthiness with customers.

  • A growing understanding of transport networks, logistics concepts and regional market dynamics.

  • Strong commercial awareness and the ability to identify profitable opportunities.

  • Excellent relationship building, communication and negotiation skills.

  • Experience working collaboratively across commercial and operational teams.

  • Fluent in English; additional European languages would be an advantage.

  • Willingness to travel regularly across assigned region.

Desirable:
  • Experience within chemical logistics, bulk logistics or intermodal logistics.

  • Experience with commercial transport procurement, tender management and network optimisation.

  • Familiarity with GMP+ standards, food safety requirements in liquid food logistics.

  • Familiarity with contract management systems, CRM tools or commercial reporting platforms.
