Job description

At Fenix Outdoor, we believe digital commerce is a key driver of our future growth. We are looking for a commercially driven and visionary Commercial Digital Director to lead and accelerate our digital business across brands, markets, and channels.

In this pivotal leadership role, you will define and execute our digital commercial strategy, with end-to-end accountability for digital revenue, profitability, and sustainable growth. You will unlock new opportunities across e-commerce, marketplaces, and emerging digital channels, ensuring that our brands reach more customers and deliver exceptional digital experiences.

You will lead the commercial digital business across Europe while driving global digital initiatives, capabilities, and transformation projects that support growth across the broader Fenix Outdoor portfolio.

You will lead the next phase of our digital commercial development, building a scalable, data-driven, and high-performing organization that combines strong commercial execution with a long-term growth mindset.

You will work closely with stakeholders across the business to ensure digital commerce is fully integrated into our overall brand and business strategies.

About The Role

As Commercial Digital Director, you will own the overall commercial direction and performance of our digital channels across all brands. You will translate business ambitions into clear priorities, actionable growth plans, and measurable results.

You will balance strategic leadership with a strong focus on execution, using customer insights, commercial analytics, and market intelligence to identify opportunities, improve performance, and drive profitable growth.

What You Will Do

Your key responsibilities will include:

• Own the end-to-end commercial and operational performance of e-commerce, including assortment planning, forecasting, inventory and buying alignment, trading execution, and revenue optimization across brands and markets.
• Define and lead the long-term digital commercial strategy across brands, markets, and channels, aligned with our overall business ambitions.
• Commercial and P&L ownership: Drive digital revenue, profitability, and growth, ensuring clear targets, accountability, and disciplined performance management.
• Marketplace strategy and expansion: Drive performance across marketplace partnerships while identifying, evaluating, and launching new marketplace opportunities, business models, and strategic digital partnerships to accelerate growth.
• Drive the adoption of digital tools, automation, data platforms, and AI solutions to improve commercial decision-making, operational efficiency, customer experience, and business performance.
• Establish a data-driven approach to decision-making, translating performance insights and customer behaviours into tangible business results.
• Ensure a consistent, engaging, and seamless customer journey across digital touchpoints, strengthening conversion, loyalty, and long-term customer value.
• Build strong partnerships with Brand, Marketing, Merchandising, Product, Supply Chain, Operations, and Finance to maximize commercial opportunities across the Fenix organisation and brands.
• Translate strategy into execution by establishing clear priorities, building actionable roadmaps, driving investment decisions, and ensuring measurable improvements across digital channels and teams.
• Act as a trusted strategic partner to senior leadership, challenging the status quo and identifying new opportunities for value creation.

You understand that successful digital commerce is not a standalone function. It requires strong brand positioning, customer understanding, commercial discipline, and close collaboration across the entire business.

Your Experience And Expertise

• Extensive leadership experience within digital commerce, e-commerce, marketplaces, or related commercial functions, including leadership of senior managers and cross-functional leadership teams.
• A proven track record of driving significant digital revenue growth and improving profitability in consumer-facing businesses.
• Experience with P&L ownership, commercial strategy, budgeting, forecasting, and performance management.
• Experience leading senior functional leaders and developing high-performing, cross-functional teams.
• Strong understanding of digital commerce business models, customer journeys, and the commercial drivers of growth.
• Demonstrated success in scaling digital channels and identifying new commercial opportunities.
• Experience in multi-brand, international, omnichannel, or retail environments.
• Strong analytical capabilities and the ability to translate complex data into clear commercial decisions.
• Experience building effective partnerships across Marketing, Brand, Merchandising, Finance, Supply Chain, and Operations.
• Demonstrated ability to influence executive leadership teams and lead large-scale digital transformation and growth initiatives across multiple markets and brands.
• Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills, with the ability to influence and engage senior leadership.

A relevant university degree in Business, Economics, Marketing, Digital Commerce, or a related field is expected. Postgraduate qualifications, such as an MBA, are a plus.
