Job summary

H&M Group is seeking a Commercial Advisor to provide commercial expertise across the Tech function, delivering business value by strengthening cases, executing deals, and optimizing partnerships. You will lead negotiations, define models, and manage long-term supplier relationships in a global, product‑led environment.

Qualifications

  • Several years of experience within Commercial Management, Vendor Management, Strategic Sourcing, Category Management, Procurement, Business Development, Consulting, or a related field.
  • Strong experience leading commercial negotiations and managing complex agreements.
  • Experience building business cases and translating strategic objectives into commercial outcomes.
  • Strong analytical skills and a data-driven approach to decision-making.
  • Experience managing external partners, suppliers, or strategic vendor relationships.
  • The ability to navigate complex stakeholder environments and influence decision-making across functions.
  • Excellent communication skills and the confidence to challenge and advise stakeholders constructively.
  • Strong problem-solving capabilities combined with a pragmatic and results-oriented mindset.
  • Experience working in international and cross-functional environments.
  • Experience from a product-led, technology, consulting, or digital business environment is considered an advantage.
  • Professional fluency in English.

Responsibilities

  • Support Delivery Leaders in defining and implementing commercial and partner strategies.
  • Build, evaluate, and challenge business cases to secure maximum business value.
  • Lead negotiations with strategic vendors, suppliers, and external partners.
  • Identify and evaluate new partnership opportunities relevant to product and business objectives.
  • Design and establish commercial models, cooperation frameworks, and deal structures that support business goals.
  • Define and manage strategic parameters for partner portfolios and ensure long-term value creation.
  • Lead commercial processes such as RFPs, tenders, supplier evaluations, and contract negotiations.
  • Manage contracts throughout their lifecycle, including renewals, renegotiations, extensions, and terminations.
  • Assess commercial performance, risks, and business outcomes to continuously optimise partnerships.
  • Challenge existing commercial models and identify opportunities for improvement and innovation.
  • Monitor supplier markets, technology trends, and spend analyses to support informed decision-making.
  • Support governance and collaboration between stakeholders, vendors, and external partners.
  • Ensure compliance with internal purchasing policies, governance models, and contractual frameworks.

As a Commercial Advisor you will provide commercial expertise to the Tech, in order to deliver expected business value. Commercial Advisors support by bringing rigor to business cases, executing deals that achieve business objectives, and identifying ways to optimize ongoing relationships with external partners.

The Commercial Advisor has great leadership skills, believes in a non‑hierarchical culture of collaboration, transparency, safety, and trust. Working with a focus on value creation, growth and serving customers with full ownership and accountability. Delivering exceptional customer and business results while supporting leaders in defining and implementing commercial and partner strategy.
