Basta in Västerås (New Opening) is seeking a Chef de Partie to own a kitchen section and collaborate with the Head Chef and team to deliver high-quality dishes with consistency. You will be responsible for mise en place, speed, and service readiness in a fast-paced environment.

You will be part of a passionate team delivering authentic Italian-inspired hospitality. The role requires leadership, clear communication, and a commitment to food safety standards in a dynamic setting.

Qualifications

• Proven experience in a similar role within a fast-paced kitchen.
• Strong communication and leadership skills.
• Excellent organisational skills and ability to work under time pressure.
• Good knowledge of food safety and hygiene regulations.
• Ability to work independently while contributing to team success.
• Ability to consistently deliver high-quality dishes in a high-volume environment.

• Prepare and cook dishes according to recipes and quality standards.
• Ensure mise en place is completed up to standards, and organised before service.
• Maintain consistency, speed, and precision during service.
• Keep your section clean, organised, and service-ready at all times.
• Communicate clearly with the kitchen team during service.
• Support colleagues and contribute to a positive team environment.
• Ensure full compliance of company's HACCP.

The Role

As Chef de Partie, you’ll be an important part of the day-to-day kitchen operation, taking ownership of your section and working closely with the Head Chef, Sous Chef and the rest of the team.

You’ll help us deliver consistently high-quality dishes, keep your section organised and running smoothly, and contribute to creating a kitchen where people enjoy working together.
