Job summary

Epidemic Sound in Stockholm is seeking a Backend Engineer to join the Studio team, building and operating agentic systems at the core of our AI-powered soundtracking product. You will work across Python, Go, GraphQL Studio API, and a TS/React editor, all running on GCP.

You will own reliability, observability, and rollout with feature flags, collaborating with frontend engineers, product managers and design on the Assistant launch and video analysis platform evolution.

Qualifications

• Backend engineering with distributed-systems experience.
• Production experience in Python and/or Go.
• Experience with cloud platforms (GCP or similar).
• Experience building agentic systems for real users (LLM agents with tool use, multi-step pipelines, or conversational assistants).
• Ability to take initiative and communicate openly.

Responsibilities

• Build and operate agentic systems in production, from the multi-agent pipeline to the Assistant.
• Backend engineering across Python and Go/GraphQL Studio API: Pub/Sub-driven workers, video ingest/transcoding/analysis, and GKE workloads.
• Build backend services across Python, Go and GraphQL API, including Pub/Sub workers, video ingest and analysis, and GKE workloads.
• Own reliability and observability for systems whose output varies with dashboards and alerts.
• Ship iteratively behind feature flags and manage rollout and incident response.
• Partner with frontend engineers, product managers and design on the Assistant launch and video analysis platform evolution.
