Job summary

Epidemic Sound in Stockholm is seeking a Senior Backend Engineer to join our Content Protection team. You’ll design and implement scalable systems that protect license rights for our global customers, collaborating with ML, data, and legal teams.

You’ll own end-to-end architecture, build high-throughput data pipelines, and work with platforms like YouTube/TikTok via APIs to strengthen detection models. Strong backend/distributed systems experience required.

Qualifications

• 6+ years of backend software engineering experience designing and scaling distributed systems.
• Proven experience building high-throughput services and data pipelines for massive data volumes.
• Proficiency in modern backend languages (Python/Go/Java) and cloud infrastructure (GCP/AWS).
• Strong architectural mindset with ownership from design to deployment.

Responsibilities

• End-to-End Ownership: Architect, build, and maintain critical infrastructure for content protection and rights enforcement services.
• User Generated Content Monitoring & Optimization: Build high-throughput services to fetch, parse, and analyze data from platforms like YouTube to monitor compliance.
• Data Analysis & Autonomous Improvement: Dive into data to spot weak signals, justify fixes, and ship improvements.
• Cross-Functional Defense: Collaborate with ML and business operations teams to develop detection models and actionable data.
