Job summary

STARK is seeking a dedicated IT Infrastructure & Security Specialist for our Swedish office in Stockholm to own the local IT operations. You’ll manage workstations, network services, and security controls, collaborating with our global IT & Security teams in Germany to align standards.

You have 1.5+ years in tech support or system administration, strong Windows/macOS, and a security-first mindset. English at B2+ and the ability to work autonomously are essential.

Qualifications

• 1.5+ years in technical support, helpdesk, or system administration.
• Proficiency in Windows and macOS; Linux experience is a plus.
• Solid networking fundamentals (TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP).
• English level B2+ for daily communication with Germany team.
• Security-first mindset with proactive risk identification.
• Independence to prioritize tasks and resolve issues autonomously.

Responsibilities

• IT Administration & Support: ensure seamless operation of workstations and local office infrastructure.
• User Operations: manage onboarding/offboarding, hardware provisioning, and accounts.
• Information Security: implement and monitor cybersecurity standards (MFA, disk encryption, OS updates).
• Asset Management: maintain IT asset inventory, procure, and handle service/warranty cases.
• HQ Coordination: act as SPOC for Swedish team and align with global IT & Security teams.

About the team:

This is a functional role. Reporting to the Director Corporate IT.

Your mission:

We are looking for a dedicated specialist to take full ownership of the IT infrastructure and security operations for our Swedish office.

Responsibilities:

• IT Administration & Support: Ensure the seamless operation of workstations (Windows, macOS, Linux) and local office infrastructure (Wi-Fi, LAN, VC).
• User Operations: Manage the full employee lifecycle regarding IT, including hardware provisioning, account setup (onboarding), and access revocation (offboarding).
• Information Security: Implement and monitor cybersecurity standards (MFA, disk encryption, OS updates). In the defense sector, security is our highest priority.
• Asset Management: Maintain an accurate inventory of IT assets and licenses, manage procurement, and handle service/warranty cases with vendors.
• HQ Coordination: Act as the Single Point of Contact (SPOC) for the Swedish team, collaborating with our global IT & Security teams in Germany to align local operations with global standards.

Qualifications:

• 1.5+ years of experience in technical support, helpdesk, or system administration.
• Proficiency in Windows and macOS (Linux experience is a significant plus).
• Solid understanding of networking fundamentals (TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP).
• English level: B2 or higher for effective daily communication with colleagues in Germany.
• Security-first mindset: A proactive approach to identifying risks and a high sense of responsibility.
• Independence: Ability to prioritize tasks and resolve technical issues autonomously.

Nice to have:

• Experience with MDM tools (Intune, Jamf) or Identity Providers (Okta/SSO).
• Basic scripting skills (Bash, PowerShell) for task automation.
• Background in supporting engineering teams or working within the defense/international sector.
