Job summary

Abbott Laboratories is seeking an Informatics Technical Service Specialist to implement and support laboratory informatics solutions across customer sites. You will act as a trusted technical expert, collaborating with hospital IT teams to ensure successful delivery and high customer satisfaction.

You will lead software installations, configuration, validation, and end-user training, while providing advanced technical support and contributing to ongoing solution optimization and business growth.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in IT, biomedical engineering, medical technology, life sciences or related discipline.
• Several years of experience in healthcare IT, laboratory diagnostics, software implementation or tech support.
• Strong knowledge of IT systems, software applications and integration concepts.
• Experience working directly with customers in a technical service or implementation role.
• Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Service-minded and commercially aware.
• Ability to work independently and in cross-functional teams.
• Strong written and verbal communication in English and Swedish.
• Willingness to travel frequently to customer sites.
• Experience in laboratory informatics or healthcare software is advantageous.

Responsibilities

• Lead the implementation of Abbott Core Diagnostics software solutions at customer sites.
• Ensure IT projects align with statements of work and project plans.
• Configure, install and validate software applications and solutions.
• Deliver product and application training to end users.
• Provide comprehensive technical support for Abbott informatics solutions.
• Serve as 3rd-level escalation point for complex issues.
• Collaborate with Sales and Informatics to identify growth opportunities.
• Assist in preparation of Statements of Work and technical documentation.
• Recommend hardware solutions and liaise with third-party IT providers as needed.
• Build strong customer relationships and support long-term success.
• Contribute to optimization and continuous improvement of informatics solutions and services.
• Support procurement and tender processes with technical expertise.

As an Informatics Technical Service Specialist, you will be responsible for implementing and supporting Abbott's laboratory informatics solutions across customer sites. Acting as a trusted technical expert, you will work closely with laboratories, hospital IT departments, and Abbott colleagues to ensure successful project delivery and exceptional customer satisfaction.

You will:

• Lead the implementation of Abbott Core Diagnostics software solutions at customer sites.
• Ensure IT implementation projects are delivered in line with agreed statements of work.
• Configure, install and validate software applications and solutions
• Deliver product and application training to end users.
• Provide comprehensive technical support for Abbott informatics solutions.
• Act as a 3rd-level escalation point for complex technical issues
• Collaborate with Sales and Informatics colleagues to identify opportunities within existing customer accounts and support business growth.
• Support the preparation of Statements of Work and technical project documentation.
• Recommend appropriate hardware solutions and liaise with third-party IT providers when required.

What You'll Bring

• Strong knowledge of IT systems, software applications, and system integration concepts.
• Experience working directly with customers in a technical service or implementation role.
