Job summary

Tenth Revolution Group in Stockholm is seeking an AI Engineer to build production AI at scale within a small central AI team. You will work directly with product teams and stakeholders to decide what is worth building, prototype quickly, and then ship robust production systems.

Expect work across customer-facing conversational AI, semantic search, AI assistants, content production at scale, and image-based campaigns, with hands-on development and strong product judgment.

AI Engineer - Build Production AI at Scale

Stockholm | Permanent

Build AI that actually gets used.

We're looking for a hands-on AI Engineer to join a small central AI team at a major Nordic consumer business.

This isn't a role where you'll spend your time writing requirements for someone else to build.

You'll work directly with product teams and business stakeholders, help decide what is actually worth building, challenge ideas when needed, prototype quickly and then write the code to turn those ideas into production systems.

If you enjoy the space between software engineering, AI and real business problems, this could be a very interesting role.

What are you actually going to build?

The team already has a growing pipeline of AI projects across the business.

Current and upcoming work includes:

• Customer-facing conversational AI with the potential to reach millions of users.
• Semantic search and retrieval using modern embedding and vector technologies.
• Internal AI assistants helping thousands of employees access knowledge.
• AI-powered content production at significant scale.
• Image generation and processing for campaigns and digital content.
• Internal platforms that make it easier for teams to build and deploy AI-powered applications.

The technology isn't fixed.

The team takes a pragmatic approach to AI - using whatever works best for the problem rather than forcing everything through one framework or vendor.

You'll have the freedom to experiment, prototype, rip things apart and rebuild them when necessary.

This is the important bit.

We're not looking for a traditional Data Scientist.

We're looking for someone who can combine:

Strong software engineering + modern AI + product judgement.

You should be comfortable going from:

"The business wants this…"

to:

"Here's what I think we should actually build…"

to:

"I've built it — let's get it into production."

You'll work closely with product owners, stakeholders and other engineers throughout that process.

What you'll bring

We're looking for someone who has:

• Strong Python/software engineering skills.
• Experience building backend services and APIs.
• Good understanding of modern LLM and Generative AI technologies.
• Experience working with real-world data using SQL, Pandas or similar tools.
• The confidence to communicate directly with stakeholders.
• The technical judgement to push back when there is a better solution.
• A genuine hands-on attitude — you like building things yourself.

Your previous job title isn't particularly important.

You might currently be an:

What matters is what you've actually built and owned.

You don't need to know every tool.

Experience with things like these would be valuable:

• LLM applications
• RAG
• Semantic search
• Embeddings
• AI agents
• Recommendation systems
• AI evaluation

  Specific framework experience isn't a deal-breaker.

  If you've used Pinecone rather than Qdrant, LangGraph rather than another agent framework, or AWS rather than another cloud platform, that's fine.

  Rather than owning one small component of a huge platform, you'll have visibility across a substantial part of the business.

  You'll work directly with the people asking:

  "Could AI solve this?"

  and have the opportunity to answer:

  "Yes — and here's how I'd build it."

  That means exposure to:

  • Product.
  • Business stakeholders.
  • Real customers.
  • Real production systems.

  And you'll remain hands-on technically.

  No need to become a people manager to increase your influence.

  The setup

  Central Stockholm — close to Stockholm Central Station.

  Flexible choice of laptop/equipment.

  Hybrid working with plenty of flexibility within the team.

  Occasional Copenhagen travel, typically a day trip.

  Candidates must already have full working rights in Sweden.

  Swedish is preferred, although strong English-speaking candidates can be considered.
