Job summary

NordAxon, a Sweden-based AI-native consultancy, is seeking a Senior AI/ML Engineer in Malmö to design, build, and deploy production-grade AI solutions. You will work with AI/ML engineers, software engineers, data scientists, and clients to translate business challenges into robust AI systems.

The role combines software engineering, ML, Generative AI, and cloud technologies to create scalable AI architectures and maintainable deployments.

Qualifications

• 4+ years of professional experience in AI/ML, software engineering, or data science.
• Strong programming skills in Python.
• Experience building production-grade AI solutions with PyTorch, TensorFlow, or similar.
• Experience with LLMs, Generative AI, RAG, and AI agents.
• Experience with cloud services (Azure AI, OpenAI, AWS, GCP).
• Familiarity with Docker, Kubernetes, CI/CD, and MLOps practices.
• Excellent communication skills in English.

About the Role

As a Senior AI/ML Engineer, you will work closely with other AI/ML Engineers, Software Engineers, Data Scientists, and of course our customers and business stakeholders to design, develop, and deploy AI solutions that solve real business challenges.

This is a hands-on engineering and developer role where you will combine Software Engineering, Machine Learning, Generative AI, and cloud technologies to build scalable, maintainable, and production-grade AI systems.

Your responsibilities include:

• Designing, developing, and deploying AI-powered applications and intelligent software solutions
• Building solutions using Large Language Models (LLMs), Generative AI, Retrieval-Augmented Generation (RAG), and AI agents
• Developing machine learning models and deploying them into production
• Integrating AI solutions with APIs, databases, cloud platforms, and enterprise applications
• Designing scalable AI architectures and contributing to technical decision-making
• Working with modern MLOps practices, CI/CD pipelines, model deployment, monitoring, and lifecycle management
• Collaborating directly with customers to translate business challenges into robust AI solutions
• Contributing to internal innovation, knowledge sharing, and the continuous development of NordAxon's AI capabilities

Who We're Looking For

You are an experienced AI/ML Engineer who enjoys solving complex technical challenges and building intelligent systems that create measurable business value. You are curious, pragmatic, and passionate about applying the latest AI technologies in production environments.

You bring:

• At least 4 years of professional experience in AI Engineering, Machine Learning, Software Engineering, Data Science, or a related field
• Strong programming skills in Python
• Proven experience designing, building, and deploying production-grade AI solutions
• Hands-on experience with modern AI frameworks such as PyTorch, TensorFlow, Scikit-learn, LangChain, LlamaIndex, or similar
• Experience developing solutions using Large Language Models (LLMs), Generative AI, Retrieval-Augmented Generation (RAG), and AI agents
• Experience with Azure AI Services, Azure OpenAI, AWS, or Google Cloud
• Experience integrating AI solutions with APIs, databases, modern software architectures, and data engineering pipelines
• Solid understanding of Docker, Kubernetes, vector databases, MLOps, CI/CD, model deployment, monitoring, and software engineering best practices
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to communicate effectively with both technical and business stakeholders
• Excellent communication skills in English
