Job summary

ALTEN Sweden is seeking an Aftermarket Methods Engineer to help develop service and repair solutions for aftermarket operations in the construction equipment sector. You will collaborate with product development, technical specialists, and documentation engineers to drive serviceability improvements and digital innovations.

Qualifications

• Degree in Mechanical Engineering or related technical discipline.
• Experience with heavy vehicles, construction equipment, industrial machinery, or similar products.
• Strong understanding of service, maintenance, repair processes, and product serviceability.
• Experience creating or working with technical documentation and service instructions.
• Structured, analytical, and solution-oriented approach to problem-solving.
• Excellent communication in English and Swedish.

Responsibilities

• Develop and improve service and repair methods for aftermarket operations.
• Create and maintain service instructions and technical documentation.
• Support product development projects with serviceability expertise.
• Plan and execute service procedure development and time studies.
• Design, develop, and validate special tools and workshop solutions.
• Collaborate with technical writers to ensure accurate and high-quality service documentation.
• Drive continuous improvements by exploring and implementing technologies such as AI, VR, and other digital solutions.
• Work cross-functionally with design engineers, product specialists, and other stakeholders.
