Qualifications

• Degree in Mechanical Engineering or related technical discipline.
• Experience with heavy vehicles, construction equipment, industrial machinery, or similar products.
• Strong understanding of service, maintenance, repair processes, and product serviceability.
• Experience creating or working with technical documentation and service instructions.
• Structured, analytical, and solution-oriented approach to problem-solving.
• Excellent communication in English and Swedish.

Responsibilities

• Develop and improve service and repair methods for aftermarket operations.

ALTEN Sweden is looking for an Aftermarket Methods Engineer to join an exciting assignment within the construction equipment industry. In this role, you will contribute to the development of service and repair solutions that ensure products can be maintained efficiently, safely, and sustainably throughout their lifecycle.

You will work closely with product development teams, technical specialists, and documentation engineers, helping to improve serviceability and drive innovation through new technologies and digital solutions.

Your Responsibilities

• Collaborate with technical writers to ensure accurate and high-quality service documentation

• Work cross-functionally with design engineers, product specialists, and other stakeholders

We Are Looking For Someone With

• A degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related technical discipline

Meritorious Experience

• CAD tools such as CATIA, Creo, NX, I-DEAS, SolidWorks, or similar
• Product Data Management (PDM) or PLM systems
• Electrical and electronic systems
• Engines, transmissions, driveline, axle, or powertrain components
• Workshop operations, field service, or aftermarket development
• Methods engineering and time studies
• AI, digitalization, or innovative service solutions
