Job summary

ALTEN is seeking a Technical Writer to join our engineering-driven team and work on advanced technical documentation.

You will produce and maintain maintenance and modification documentation for complex systems, collaborating with engineering, design and field teams to ensure legally compliant, user-focused content. Qualifications

• Minimum 4 years of experience with CAD software (CATIA or CREO) for technical illustration.
• Strong background in technical writing (maintenance instructions, specifications, system documentation).
• Experience in authoring environments for documentation and issue tracking.
• Knowledge of legal requirements for maintenance information.
• Experience with translation management processes.
• Ability to manage feedback loops from field operations and DCNs.
• Fluency in Swedish is a plus.

We are looking for a Technical Writer to join ALTEN and work with advanced technical documentation in a highly engineering-driven environment.

In this role, you will be responsible for producing and maintaining technical maintenance and modification documentation for complex systems and engineering products. You will work closely with engineering, design, and field teams to ensure high-quality, legally compliant and user-focused technical content.

Key Responsibilities

• Create and maintain technical documentation for maintenance and modification activities
• Produce clear and accurate system diagrams and technical illustrations
• Work with CAD tools to support visual documentation
• Handle feedback from field operations and integrate Design Change Notices (DCNs)
• Ensure documentation compliance with legal and regulatory requirements
• Manage translation workflows (exports, imports, quotations)
• Collaborate with engineering and service teams across functions

We are looking for you who have:

• Minimum 4 of experience with CAD software (CATIA / CREO) for technical illustration
