Job summary

ALTEN is seeking an engaged Mechanical Engineer in Sweden to work across the entire lifecycle of mechanical systems, from design to implementation, contributing to complex projects within automotive, defense, and manufacturing sectors. You will design, document, and test components, develop project plans, and coordinate with internal teams and external stakeholders.

A strong emphasis on standards and continuous improvement is highlighted.

Qualifications

• Experience in mechanical design and development processes.
• Ability to collaborate across engineering disciplines and with stakeholders.
• Familiarity with documentation and reporting for mechanical projects.
• Proactive approach to problem solving and risk management.

Responsibilities

• Plan, design, develop, test, and implement mechanical systems and components.
• Prepare technical documentation, reports, and analyses using relevant tools.
• Develop project plans, including schedules, cost estimates, and resource allocation.
• Monitor project progress and performance, resolving issues to minimize delays.
• Coordinate activities internally and with external stakeholders, including contractors.
• Support installation, testing, and commissioning of infrastructure, equipment, and systems.
• Contribute to engineering standards, specifications, and best practices.
