Job summary

ALTEN Sweden is seeking an experienced Electronics Design Engineer to work on automotive electronic hardware development for future vehicle platforms and electrified powertrains. You will collaborate with suppliers and internal teams to ensure robust electronics systems throughout the product life cycle.

Ideal candidates have a degree in Electrical/Electronics/Mechatronics, hands-on experience in hardware design, verification, and EMC testing, and knowledge of automotive standards.

Qualifications

• Experience in electronics development, hardware design, verification, or system engineering.
• Knowledge of automotive electrical and electronic systems.
• Understanding of EMC principles and testing methodologies.
• Experience in requirement management and technical documentation.
• Experience working with suppliers or external development partners.
• Knowledge of CISPR 25, ISO 11452, ISO 16750, UNECE R10, LV124, or LV148.
• Experience from the automotive industry.

Responsibilities

• Follow up supplier-developed electronic hardware throughout the product development lifecycle.
• Review hardware designs, technical documentation, and verification reports.
• Ensure compliance with EMC requirements and automotive standards.
• Participate in technical reviews and design discussions with suppliers and internal stakeholders.
• Support verification, validation, and vehicle integration activities.
• Contribute to root cause analysis and issue resolution.
• Work with requirement management and engineering change activities.
• Collaborate with system engineers, architects, software engineers, and test teams.
• Drive continuous improvements in development methods and engineering practices.

In this role, you will work with the development and integration of electronic hardware solutions for future vehicle platforms and electrified powertrains. You will collaborate with suppliers and cross-functional engineering teams to ensure high-quality, compliant, and robust electronics systems throughout the product development lifecycle.

Who You Are

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Electronics Engineering, Mechatronics, or a related field.
• Experience in electronics development, hardware design, verification, testing, or system engineering.
• Knowledge of automotive electrical and electronic systems.
• Understanding of EMC principles and testing methodologies.
• Experience in requirement management and technical documentation.
• Experience working with suppliers or external development partners is considered an advantage.
• Knowledge of automotive standards such as CISPR 25, ISO 11452, ISO 16750, UNECE R10, LV124, or LV148 is highly valued.
• Strong analytical skills and experience with root cause analysis.
• Experience from the automotive industry.
