Job summary

Open Access Technology International (OATI) seeks a Windows Systems Specialist to design, deploy, and maintain Windows-based infrastructure for energy sector deployments in Riyadh. The role covers Windows Server, AD, SQL Server and AlwaysOn, IIS hosting, PowerShell scripting, and VMware virtualization across on‑prem and hybrid environments.

The candidate will support high availability, disaster recovery, security hardening, and documentation while collaborating with HQ and the Saudi Arabia

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in CS/IT/CE or related field.
• 5+ years as Windows System Administrator or similar.
• Proven Windows Server administration expertise.
• Experience designing AD environments.
• Experience SQL Server backup/recovery and AlwaysOn.
• IIS configuration and web hosting.
• PowerShell scripting for automation.
• VMware virtualization experience.
• Strong problem solving and communication.
• Saudi residency in Riyadh region.

Responsibilities

• Design, deploy Windows Server infrastructure, including network architecture, security hardening, and best practices implementation.
• Administer and maintain Active Directory environments, including user and group management, group policy administration, and access control.
• Administer SQL Server databases, including installation, configuration, backup, recovery procedures, and performance optimization.
• Implement and manage SQL Server AlwaysOn for high availability and disaster recovery solutions.
• Configure and maintain Internet Information Services (IIS) for web application hosting and support.
• Develop, maintain, and optimize PowerShell scripts for system administration, automation, and operational efficiency.
• Design, deploy, and manage virtualized environments using VMware infrastructure, including resource allocation and performance tuning.
• Monitor system performance, availability, and security; identify issues and implement preventive measures.
• Troubleshoot complex infrastructure issues and elevate where necessary; document resolutions and lessons learned.
• Maintain technical documentation, including configurations, runbooks, disaster recovery procedures, and infrastructure diagrams.
• Coordinate with OATI headquarters technical teams on infrastructure projects, upgrades, and support activities.
• Maintain compliance with OATI security policies, data protection standards, and Saudi Arabia regulatory requirements.
• Provide technical support and guidance to other OATI Saudi Arabia Branch staff on infrastructure-related matters.
