Job summary

Halliburton is seeking an Operator Assistant-L&P to support well-logging operations at Santos Camp, Cooper Basin in Australia. You will assist with rig-ups and rig-downs of logging equipment and perform basic maintenance on tools and machinery.

Under supervision, you will learn to operate down-hole and surface logging equipment, complete required inspections, and follow HSE procedures to promote safety and efficiency on site.

Qualifications

• High school or equivalent education with 6 months of experience as Operator Assistant-L&P.
• Licensure to drive commercial equipment may be required in some locations.
• Water survival training may be required.
• Strong communication and basic math skills; ability to read and write.
• Basic computer skills are preferred.

Responsibilities

• Rig-ups and rig-downs surface and down-hole well logging equipment.
• Operate well logging equipment at job site and assemble tools.
• Perform preventive maintenance and inspections of equipment.
• Complete pre and post job vehicle and equipment documentation.
• Learn to operate pressure control equipment and contribute to cost containment.
