Job summary

Parsons in Tabuk is seeking a Project Engineer - Water Infrastructure to lead delivery of civil and water packages from design review through construction completion. You will coordinate inputs, monitor progress, and ensure designs translate into constructed assets.

The role requires a civil or related engineering degree, at least 5 years' experience, strong site and design coordination skills, and ability to work with multidisciplinary teams in a fast-paced environment.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering, Environmental Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or a related discipline.
  • Minimum 5 years of progressive experience in civil or water infrastructure projects.
  • Practical experience with pipelines, pumping stations, valves, reservoirs, or utility networks.
  • Strong ability to review engineering drawings, specifications, and technical submissions.
  • Experience coordinating contractors, consultants, clients, and multidisciplinary design teams.
  • Knowledge of construction monitoring, site inspections, and technical quality requirements.
  • Familiarity with RFIs, submittals, shop drawings, and document registers.
  • Ability to monitor schedules, contractor milestones, and project progress.
  • Strong technical reporting, presentation, and written communication skills.

Responsibilities

  • Review engineering drawings, technical specifications, design reports, and construction packages.
  • Evaluate designs for pipelines, pump stations, valves, reservoirs, and water storage facilities.
  • Confirm compliance with approved project requirements, engineering standards, and local regulations.
  • Identify design inconsistencies, missing information, and constructability concerns.
  • Coordinate technical comments with designers, contractors, consultants, and client representatives.
  • Act as a central communication point for assigned engineering and construction matters.
  • Support senior project managers with coordination of project priorities and technical decisions.
  • Conduct regular site visits to monitor construction progress and workmanship.
  • Verify that site activities follow approved drawings, specifications, method statements, and safety procedures.
  • Identify field issues and coordinate practical engineering solutions.
  • Monitor contractor milestones, planned activities, and actual progress.
  • Review construction schedules and highlight emerging delays or interface risks.
  • Assist with corrective action planning when progress falls behind programme.
  • Manage RFIs and coordinate timely technical responses.
  • Review and track material submittals, shop drawings, technical queries, and design revisions.
  • Expedite outstanding submissions to prevent disruption to construction activities.
  • Maintain accurate logs for RFIs, submittals, drawings, actions, and technical approvals.
  • Coordinate interfaces between civil, mechanical, electrical, environmental, and utility disciplines.
  • Participate in project meetings, design reviews, technical workshops, and site coordination sessions.
  • Prepare weekly and monthly progress reports for project leadership and the client.
  • Develop technical memoranda, presentation materials, issue summaries, and action trackers.
  • Record site observations, technical decisions, and agreed corrective measures.
  • Support quality assurance activities by monitoring compliance and reporting non‑conforming work.
  • Coordinate with inspection and quality teams on technical acceptance matters.
  • Assist with review of testing, commissioning, and handover documentation where required.
  • Maintain awareness of project risks, dependencies, and upcoming technical requirements.
  • Support the evaluation of contractor proposals and engineering change requests.
  • Promote clear communication and cooperation within a multicultural project environment.
  • Follow Parsons project management, quality, safety, and document control procedures.
  • Perform additional engineering and project coordination duties assigned by management.
