Job summary

A leading global financial institution in Riyadh is seeking a Vice President or Associate for its Mergers & Acquisitions team. The successful candidate will originate and execute transactions across Saudi Arabia, providing key analytical support and mentorship to junior staff. This role requires strong financial modelling skills and the ability to handle complex M&A projects, with a preference for candidates familiar with the Saudi market. Excellent communication skills in English, with Arabic skills preferred, are essential.

Job description

A leading global financial institution is seeking a Vice President or Associate to join its Mergers & Acquisitions Investment Banking team based in Riyadh. The successful candidate will play a key role in originating and executing M&A transactions across Saudi Arabia and the wider Middle East, working closely with regional and international teams

RESPONSIBILITIES
  • Lead and support the execution of M&A transactions, including buy-side, sell-side, joint ventures, restructurings, and strategic advisory mandates
  • Drive financial analysis, valuation modelling, and deal structuring, ensuring high analytical rigor and accuracy
  • Prepare client-facing materials such as pitchbooks, information memoranda, board presentations, and strategic evaluations
  • Manage due diligence processes, coordinating with clients, advisors, legal counsel, and internal stakeholders
  • Support senior bankers in the origination of new business, including sector research, idea generation, and relationship development
  • Mentor and oversee Analysts and Associates, ensuring quality control and strong teamwork
  • Maintain up-to-date knowledge of regional regulatory frameworks, market trends, and sector dynamics relevant to Saudi Arabia and the wider GCC
REQUIREMENTS
  • 4-7 years’ experience in M&A within a major investment bank, advisory firm, or relevant corporate finance environment.
  • Strong technical skills in valuation, financial modelling, and transaction execution
  • Demonstrated track record working on complex M&A transactions
  • Excellent presentation, communication, and client-interfacing abilities
  • Ability to manage multiple workstreams and perform under pressure in a fast-paced environment
  • Professional fluency in English; Arabic strongly preferred
  • Familiarity with the Saudi market and prior experience executing transactions within the Kingdom is a strong advantage
  • CFA, MBA, or other relevant qualifications beneficial but not required
