Job summary

Global Projects Services AG seeks a capable offshore engineer to support vessel mobilization, installation planning and heavy lifting operations. The role focuses on delivering safe, compliant and efficient offshore execution in line with project objectives.

The engineer collaborates with clients and subcontractors, ensures QA/QC/HSE compliance, and contributes to planning, risk assessment and project closeout activities to improve standards and outcomes.

Qualifications

• Master's or Bachelor's degree in Engineering (preferred).
• English language skills required.
• Experienced in vessel mobilization, offshore installation, heavy lifting.

Responsibilities

• Review and advise on engineering aspects to meet project tender objectives.
• Ensure QA, QC and HSE compliance across projects.
• Liaise with client reps and subcontractors to monitor progress and resolve issues.
• Assist in planning execution of offshore work and mobilization activities.
• Provide input for project closeout and lessons learnt reports.

Job description

Provide engineering reviews address operation advise directly and indirectly best practices both in the tender and in the projects to the Project Operation Manager or delegate to assist in the achievement of project tender objectives according to the plan procedures developed by the engineering project team The Engineer shall ensure compliance with QA QC amp HSE requirements and Review project documentation reporting errors omissions and suggest improvements considering advices from vessel operations managementAssist in liaising with Client Representatives subcontractorsAssist in monitoring progress of work site conditions and promptly advise if changes to project schedule execution sequence may occurWhen onboard support Vessel Management Team in planning execution of work project contractual amp technical requirementsParticipate to resolution of any technical problemsSupervise execution of diving precommissioning post trenching and hook-upProvide operational input support to onshore project teamsLiaise with Installation Engineers during preparatory mobilisation installation phaseReview installation procedures loadout seafastening plans for material structures offshore transportation to ensure safe timely installationEnsure completeness of construction materials consumables lists liaising with Project Coordinator for timely procurement deliveryCoordinate with Mobile Equipment Asset Piptec ROV Trenching precommissioning Hook-up to ensure that all necessary personnel equipment are timely availableWitness inspect pre-rigging loadouts seafastening activitiesIdentify any deviations from procedures and manage as requestedCoordinate with Fabrication Dept for loadout of fabricated structures installation aidsProvide input feedback for engineering close out report to improve departmental standards working methods guidelinesLead project planning efficiency optimisation installation aids re-use tensioner pad change-outs equipment mob demob ROV tooling consistency Be involved in project HAZIDs HIRAs and Track of tasksVerify that relevant schedules reconcile with present vessel productivityAssist with project management specific third-party contractors confirming all technical operational contractual aspects are observedProvide technical assistance to all offshore personnel to permit work is implemented in accordance with approved procedure and Company s minimum standardProvide all necessary technical briefings to offshore personnel ensuring that overall project working safety philosophy is fully understood by all personnelAssist vessels mobilisation demobilisation to ensure that all equipment is handled in correct manner and everyone involved is aware of all safety technical aspects of operationNote any contractual variations during project ensuring all necessary documentation is in place to support commercial claims disputed upon project completion and manage as requestedVerify that procedures are correct and most efficient cost effective solutions are followedTake part in most critical phases on board installation vessel preparation yardConfront with the vessel for all most critical subject to assure a correct transfer from engineering to installationDistinguish rapidly missing points optimisation of equipment used on board in yardsPrepare record participate in completion of feedback reporting Lessons learnt Offshore debriefs end of project reporting Promote organise meetings for risk evaluation revision of procedures with vessel management ensuring that all work is carried safely and in accordance with HSE policies proceduresActively participate in Job Safety analysis Risk Assessments and ensure all findings recommendations are implementedReview Daily progress reportsProvide technical support to commercial departmentCoordinate consolidate all inputs from multiple disciplines Operations Asset Engineering to support development of commercial proposalBe involved in preparing installation vessels standard methodsAssist guide and train junior engineer.
