Job summary

International Maritime Industries is seeking an experienced Project Manager to lead the construction and integration of Living Quarters and Helideck on offshore rigs. You will coordinate onsite planning, material and labor allocation, and detailed scheduling to ensure safe, on-time project delivery.

The role requires strong leadership, excellent English communication, and a track record in shipyard or offshore projects with complex technical demands.

Description

Job Purpose / OBJECTIVE

Responsible for the overall construction and system integration of Living Quarters and Helideck. To provide onsite coordination for all phases of work, including planning of materials, workers/ subcontractors’ allocation and detailed scheduling as per project requirements. To ensure projects are completed safely, on time.

Key Accountabilities

• To be well versed in phases of hot works and cold works including architectural outfitting installation, cable pulling and pipe systems testing to integration of Living Quarters/ Helideck onboard the rig.


• Establish project build methodology including critical component installation and work with project Engineering and Construction team on build strategy.


• To do clash studies with Project and Engineering team prior to safe installation onboard.


• Participate in the creation of project schedules with the Construction Manager.


• Plan and coordinate material procurement by discussing/ engaging all stakeholders involved, in phases as per construction requirements.


• Coordination with external vendors for timely delivery of equipment where necessary.


• Execute and coordinate day to day operations on construction activities in accordance with project schedule and budget.


• Provide progress reporting and schedule management on Construction deliverables.


• Implement, monitor, and drive the project schedule. Promptly notify management team of schedule and performance issues, be proactive in anticipating potential problems that may impact the project performance.


• Have weekly schedule coordination meetings with all subcontractor foremen to outline requirements of work completion, and other issues as may be required including but not limited to manpower requirements, interference coordination,

inspections, and sequence of work. Distribute three-week look ahead schedules and communicate schedule requirements with all subcontractors.

• Work closely with the Construction Manager to design and prepare the required procedures and standard processes related to Living Quarters/ Helideck activities.


• Should possess strong knowledge and understanding of shipyard HSEQ regulations and rig building job certification requirements and ensure the same is communicated to the project team on a regular basis.


• Identify the work priorities, focus on the critical path, analyze the work problems in writing with own problem-solving mentality, accurate supervision, decision-maker with a strong convincing personality, full readiness with \'Plan B\' for any unexpected issues.

• Fully responsible for delivery of all Inspection Test Records (ITR’s) under the relevant discipline by effectively delegating to the foreman and chargehands. This must be approached with a high focus on interfacing and coordination with all other discipline supervision to remove all blocks from achieving target dates.

Education

• Diploma in Engineering (Technical Qualification).


• Bachelor Engineering Degree (preferred).

Experience

• For bachelor’s degree holder, at least 9-15 years of experience in shipyard and preferably involved in offshore activities and/or rig building.


• Diploma holders must have at least 15 years of experience in the same industry and related experience.


• Experienced in handling rig building and similar offshore related projects which are of high value and with technical complexities.
