Job summary

Kearney is seeking a Translator for its Riyadh office to provide precise translations of business presentations, proposals, and related texts. The role involves translating English↔Arabic, editing for quality, and ensuring confidentiality in a fast-paced professional services environment.

You will use Translation Memory and AI-enabled tools, collaborate with clients and senior stakeholders, and maintain glossaries while meeting tight deadlines.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in translation or equivalent.
• 2+ years of translation experience (English to Arabic/Arabic to English) in a professional services firm, consulting, or similar fast-paced business environment.
• Strong knowledge of Arabic syntax, grammar, and semantics; able to proofread and edit translations.
• Ability to translate up to 2,000 words per day with high attention to detail.
• Excellent communication skills.
• Business sense with consulting industry understanding preferred.
• Willingness for occasional out-of-hours requirements.
• Able to engage with senior level stakeholders while maintaining professionalism and confidentiality.
• Plan workflow, work independently, and take initiative.
• Ability to work remotely and manage own workload.

Responsibilities

• Translate and edit business, commercial, and selected legal documents clearly and accurately.
• Produce translations from English to Arabic and Arabic to English under tight deadlines.
• Perform formatting changes; MS PowerPoint and Word proficiency is vital.
• Proofread and edit final translations for grammar and clarity.
• Attend client meetings to discuss translation projects and questions.
• Possibly work at client location as required.
• Use translation memory, terminology management, and AI-enabled tools to improve consistency and efficiency.
• Validate AI-generated content for accuracy and tone before delivery.
• Maintain approved glossaries and style guides; contribute to terminology resources.
• Escalate ambiguous content or risks to Translation Team Lead.
• Use strong research to identify accurate terminology considering country/client specifics.
• Ensure security and confidentiality of all materials; avoid uploading confidential content to unapproved platforms.

As a Translator for our Riyadh office you will support with the accurate translation of business-related presentations, proposals and texts with topics such as market studies business strategy company organization human resources etc.

Key responsibilities

Translate and edit business commercial and selected legal documents clearly and accurately to the highest quality escalating specialised legal content for review as appropriate. Produce written translations of a variety of documents from English to Arabic majority of work and Arabic to English within tight deadlines. Complete formatting changes as necessary. These can be in-depth so an excellent working knowledge of MS PowerPoint and Word is vital. Proofread and edit final translated documents to provide grammatically correct well-expressed final version of the translated texts. Attend client meetings with case team when necessary to discuss translation projects and answer questions. Possibly work at client s location as required. Use Kearney-approved translation memory terminology-management machine translation and AI-enabled tools to improve consistency and efficiency while applying professional judgment and full human review to all final deliverables. Validate AI- or machine-generated content for accuracy completeness tone terminology cultural appropriateness formatting and client-specific requirements before delivery. Maintain and contribute to approved bilingual glossaries translation memories style guides and reusable terminology resources. Escalate ambiguous source content specialist terminology quality risks or legal sensitive content to the Translation Team Lead as appropriate. Use strong research skills and approved reference sources to identify accurate terminology and closest equivalents taking into account country client and subject-matter specifics. Ensure security and confidentiality of all translated materials including use of approved tools only and no upload of confidential or client material to unapproved public AI platforms.

Possess Pragmatism, open-mindedness, and flexibility (there will be occasional out of hours requirements). Able to engage with senior level stakeholders and to operate in a high-pressure environment maintaining professionalism and confidentiality. Have ability to prioritize actions in a fast-paced environment. Demonstrated ability to plan workflow, work independently, and take initiative. Can manage own workload responsibly if working remotely. Are a team player, contributing to internal initiatives. Have strong interpersonal and communication skills, clarity, tact, professionalism. Ability to maintain highest levels of internal and external confidentiality & integrity. Have proficiency in MS Office package; PowerPoint is a must, plus MS Word and Have strong research, fact-checking, and terminology-validation skills.
