Job summary

leading-edge is seeking a Trade Finance Product Developer in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia for a 3-6 month contract. The role focuses on developing trade finance products like LCs, guarantees, and SBLCs, with emphasis on Sharia-compliant structures.

You'll collaborate with sales, operations, compliance, and IT to launch and manage products, conduct market research, and prepare pricing strategies. Fluent English required; Arabic a plus. International travel possible.

Our client is seeking an experienced Trade Finance Expert - Banking Domain to work on a project in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia. The ideal candidate will have deep expertise in trade finance, covering sales, products, documentation, operations, and compliance.

Responsibilities

• Create and develop all kinds of trade finance products (LCs, guarantees..) for banking clients
• Conduct market research to identify customer needs, competitor offerings, and regulatory trends
• Collaborate with internal teams (sales, operations, compliance, IT) to launch and manage products
• Prepare business cases, product documentation, and pricing strategies
• Monitor product performance and identify opportunities for improvement
• Ensure all products comply with local and international banking regulations
• Provide training and support to relationship managers and frontline staff

Requirements

• 2+ years of deep functional experience in trade finance product development, documentation, operations, and compliance.
• Expertise in handling Import LCs, Export LCs (including Confirmations and Discounting), Guarantees, SBLCs, and Collections
• Background knowledge in Sharia-compliant trade structures (Murabaha, Wakalah, etc.)
• Strong understanding of credit facilities relevant to trade finance
• Fluent English communication skills (Arabic language skills are a plus)
